Prices:
1. Individual literacy/numeracy tutoring
- Whole term package: $450 per ten week term.
- Pay by week - $50 per week.
2. Small group literacy/numeracy tutoring
- Whole term package: $225 per ten week term.
- Pay by week - $25 per week.
3. High school math/science tutoring
- $45 per session - pay as you go only
*NB: If you are interested in a whole term package but would like to pay in a few installments, please let us know - we are able to make this happen :-)
How long is a session?
Most sessions are 1 hour. Individual tutoring or small group sessions for primary school children (grade 6 and under) are officially 50 minutes. We sometimes run over the 50 minutes and do a full hour when students are still engaged and learning, but we find that shorter sessions are normally more appropriate for students of these ages.
Free assessment!
The free assessment is offerred to anyone interested in our literacy and numeracy tutoring. There is no obligation to sign up after coming to the assessment and we are more than happy for you to use it as a chance to come and meet us and get a feel for what tutoring would be like.
If you book a free assessment you can expect to come to an appointment for an hour or less where a trained, registered teacher will go through some literacy and numeracy assessment tasks with you. This is not aligned to any curriculum standards and is not designed to tell you that you are "falling behind". The assessment is used to help us get to know you, the learning which skills you have already conquered and what you need to work on next.
